Dr. Ryan Nelson Story

Dr. Ryan Nelson D.O. is a Flushing native. He graduated from the University of Michigan, the Midwestern University in Chicago, IL, and did his Residency at Genesys. Dr. Nelson completed a fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital, and received additional training at Boston Children’s Hospital. He served as the team doctor for the Boston Celtics, and was on the clinical faculty for the Tufts University Medical School.

Dr. Nelson specializes in complex sports injuries, cartilage restoration, alternatives to joint replacement, hip, knee, and shoulder surgery. He is active in outcomes driven research, passionate about orthopedics and patient care, and enjoys serving the community where he was raised.
